Gawwwdddd! Can you believe it’s Wednesday again? We all know what that means: we ask each other strange, sometimes inappropriate questions. Some stray off onto insane tangents. I won’t name names. ;D
Whatever Wednesday rules: Answer the question left by the person before you and leave a question for the next person. Play as many times as you wish. Anything goes. And it doesn’t have to be Wednesday to play.
My favorite quote is from the poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost:
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
What’s YOUR favorite quote?

“Hey, Moe!”

Helen I’m a quote junkie… I can’t pick a favorite but here’s one I particularly like in the mornings:
If it wasn’t for coffee, I’d have no discernible personality at all. - David Letterman
Be honest… how much time do you spend blogging and do you really think that’s healthy?
March 12, 2008 at 11:23 am
Actual blogging- sometimes 2-3 hours a day, but then I can and have gone months without a post. I tend to do that one I realize that blogging takes up more time and priority then my family.
I do spend a ton of timing commenting and reading though.
Healthy? For my body: Not so much. Too much sitting on my ass. But, mentally, it has helped me gain perspective and insight with my own issues. I also feel I have met a ton of friends across miles and locally that I might not have met if I didn’t blog. So mentally, healthy.
I can easily see how it could become an addiction–especially since I am still unshowered, in my pjs, and there’s a pile of dishes from last night’s dinner in the sink a sI type. Did I mention I need to pick up my kinder in less than 30 minutes?
I guess it’s all good as long as you can keep it in balance.
My question: I have found my shock factor has gone way done. Finding videos like Two Girls One Cup has desensitized me. Are there things you find on the internet that still shock you? What are they?
March 12, 2008 at 4:07 pm
those stupid photoshpo pictures that people who are supposed to have more maturity than a teenaged boy send round, ie a picture of a bloke with his bits enlarged to stupid proprtions wtc. The actual image doesnt shock me as such, just the mentality of these stupid people who send them!
Next question,
whats your favourite teeshirt slogan(S)
Mines, Ban Babyoil! Stop the senseless slaughter!
I remember laughing so much at that one when I was pregnant that Karl thought I would go into labour lol

Fig: Variable, probably between 2-3 hrs per day … normally try to do it on company time though … The beauty of working in the defense industry
Scout: You were desensitised to 2 girls 1 cup?!? I have seen a lot of fairly repugnant things, but it still made me gag.
Nemma: The favourite that I own is /(bb|[^b]{2})/ … it is a unix joke
I also quite like “If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the precipitate” … Sorry but the clue is right there in my user name.
Next Question: Who was your favourite teacher and what made them different?
March 13, 2008 at 7:01 am
Miss Marx. First grade. She was beautiful and caring and made me feel intelligent. If it weren’t for her, I’m not sure I would have thought so myself.
I’m forty-five years old and we still get together to have lunch.
Next question: “If you were given a $1 million and told that you needed to use it to help an underprivileged group of people, who and what would you do?”
March 13, 2008 at 7:58 am
ooooh thats a toughie….
I’d probably set up a youth group locally, somewhere for teenagers and younger kids to go at night. When I was younger there were loads of youth clubs around but they all got closed down when I was about 15. Now theres nowhere for younger people to go to at night, theres bowling and swimming but its so expensive! Then the goverment are wondering why so many teenagers are turning to drinking, drugs and other anti social behaviour! I’d probably set it up as a charity and hopefully with that amount of money set it up well enough to continue fundraising enough in the future.
Next question…
) lol
Whats your favourite pudding? (Desert or sweet to you yanks!

Fab’s report card when he was little must have said ‘does not play well with others.’ Fab- You did read the rules and leave a question! Don’t make me come over there and beat you. ;P
Fig- I’ve had to give up coffee for the last 4 or 5 months due to an ongoing health issue. Sometimes I take out the coffee beans and inhale deeply. Sigh.
Scout- I blog too because it helps relieve stress and gain perspective. Sometimes I’ll write an entry then delete the whole thing. I’ve deleted some really juicy entries. Mostly rants or when I was so pissed off I couldn’t see straight. lol. It’s chicken soup for my soul.
I don’t even want to know what the two girls one cup is. I don’t even look at that stuff. I don’t watch the videos or anything. Real life itself is full of heartbreak and sadness, I don’t need to get sucked into that sh!t online.
Nemma- The Tshirt that made me laugh the hardest recently was this: http://threadpit.com/store/product.php?productid=221&cat=249&page=1
I IM’d it to Steve while he was in a meeting and he started laughing and had to try to pretend something someone said was funny. lol.
Mr Geek- My favorite nerd t shirt is: There are 10 kinds of people in this world: Those who understand binary and those who don’t. lol.
Ree- Since I was a teenage “runaway” I would totally use it to set up halfway houses for teens who can’t live at home.
Nemma- I love cake. But it has to be from scratch and moist. So a tender, moist, chocolate cake. Mmmmmmm.
Next Question: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
March 13, 2008 at 8:58 am
Well done for answering that one. I was desperately resisting the urge to say that I would embezzle it.
Favourite pudding is tough. A good sticky toffee pudding is hard to beat.
Keeping things very English … The Marks and Spencer Pain au chocolat bread and butter pudding would come a very close second (It is a shame that the rest of you are unlikely to have seen the advert, I looked on youtube to no avail).
What is your favourite video on youtube?
March 13, 2008 at 9:01 am
Mr Geek- We posted at about the same time. I don’t go to you tube very often. But I’ve watched this over and over. I LOVE IT.

Next Question: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
March 13, 2008 at 9:11 am
My biggest pet peeve is Karl leaving the bliond up in the bathroom during winter. I swear to god its so cold in htere in a morning you can see your breath forming! When he gets readyt for work he opens the bloind, then leaves it up making it freezing in there! Nothing worse than coming down to use the loo first thing and finding it freezing cold in there!
Next question. Do you do decorating etc yourself or pay someone to do and it whats your most dreaded pasrt of redecorating?
We’re currewntly getting our house ready for selling so im off to B&Q (DIY store) soon. I hate the place!!!!!
March 13, 2008 at 9:30 am
My wife is the decorator (she is slightly obsessed in fact) in our house, I have had to put a block on any more “Nesting” till after the baby is born as I would come home to find her at the top of a 6′ ladder painting. I get to do anything that involves powertools.
What is the last book you read and would you recommend it to others?
March 13, 2008 at 2:15 pm
Nemma- Oooooh. I would kill over open windows in the morning. I don’t like being cold.
Mr Geek- I just finished reading Dean Koontz’s Frankenstein book one. I loved it. Just went to Borders yesterday and got book two.
Next Question: What’s your dream vehicle?
March 14, 2008 at 4:57 pm
I would say a Lexus SUV, but then with gas going up at the rate it is, I would cringe too much when paying for it at the pump. So, instead I choose….well…there isn’t any other car that I want more, so I will say a lexus SUV…I’m dreaming—why am I thinking of gas prices??
Next Question: Who makes your favorite pizza & What does it have on it?
March 18, 2008 at 9:57 pm
Jenner- Round Table makes my favorite pizza. And I love boring ole’ cheese! ;D
